The role of the family in raising children is universally recognized, and it is widely accepted that the state assists children only when parents are unable to do so.
At CPWB, the Family Tracing Section is assigned the task of locating the families of rescued children for the purpose of reunification. This process is based on the belief that every child has the right to be cared for by their parents and family.
Since rescued children are often victims of neglect, abuse, and exploitation, the Bureau aims to place them in a family environment as soon as possible. This helps restore their self-respect and dignity, and enhances the chances of their emotional and physical recovery.
