The Legal Section comprises Legal Officers who supervise the prosecution of individuals accused of special offences related to destitute and neglected children, as defined under the PDNC Act. These officers also produce rescued children in court to obtain legal custody in the best interest of the child. Since its inception, the Legal Section has secured legal custody of 78,753 children. It has also lodged 180 FIRs against various individuals involved in offences against children under Sections 34, 35, 37, 38, and 40 of the PDNC Act. The total amount of fines collected through convictions under the PDNC Act is Rs. 74,900/-.al fine collection through conviction is Rs. 74, 900/- under PDN
