In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, it is indeed an honor for me to serve as the Chairperson of this socially responsive organization. It is the need of the hour to initiate actions that promote the welfare of children in compromised situations. Pakistan is a signatory to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, and I am proud that Punjab Government is moving in the right direction with a strong will to achieve the long-term goal of protecting children's rights. We remain steadfast in our commitment to provide essential care and protection to children in Punjab and assist other provincial governments as well. Our efforts are not limited to education, health and nutrition but rights of children are also recognized. There is some crucial legislation still needed. This concern remains an important part of the ongoing struggle undertaken by my department as we strive to enhance our ambit, jurisdiction and reach to support countless unattended children. Our primary aim has been to reunite rescued children with their families, as no institution can replace a mother’s warmth or a father’s affection. For those who have no one in this world but us, it is our collective responsibility to make this world a better place for them to live in, a place full of hope and infinite possibilities. I am full of praise for my dedicated team at Child Protection and Welfare Bureau for responding to this great cause with dedication. Investing in children is one of the best investments we can make. I request all to share the cause. May Allah bless us all. |

The Child Protection & Welfare Bureau is no longer just a rescue service, it has evolved into a socially responsive organization, providing vital support to destitute and neglected children. I must say that keeping children off the streets is not an easy task, but the Bureau has become a ray of hope for these vulnerable children, helping them grow into educated, cultured, and successful members of society. I must give credit to the Director General of the Child Protection & Welfare Bureau, who, along with a dedicated and motivated team of officers and staff, has made it possible to provide the best services to destitute and neglected children. The Government of Punjab is fully committed to serving vulnerable children and continues to support the Child Protection & Welfare Bureau, which has already proven to be an effective organization for protecting the rights of these children.I appreciate the efforts of the Bureau and pray that Allah Almighty grants us the courage and strength to protect and rehabilitate such children. The wealth of a nation lies not merely in its economic or natural resources, but more importantly in the quality and intellect of its children. It is the children who shape a nation's destiny and determine its role in the world. I joined this organization as Director General to contribute meaningfully to the lives of the most vulnerable children in society and to help prevent the hardships they face in the form of violence, abuse, and exploitation. In recent times, the Child Protection & Welfare Bureau has become a symbol of child rights protection and the welfare of destitute and neglected children, and I feel proud to be part of this socially responsive organization. Our religion teaches us to treat the young with care and affection. Pakistan is a signatory to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, and as such, it is our duty to safeguard the rights and future of our children. We endeavor to achieve the goal of protection, rehabilitation, and welfare of destitute and neglected children, and to harness their immense potential, energy, capability, and enthusiasm by guiding it in a constructive direction. May Allah grant us the courage to selflessly serve these marginalized and vulnerable children who need our care, and guide us in training them to become productive members of society for nation-building. |
