Today Child Protection and Welfare Bureau, Lahore, under the leadership of Sarah Ahmad, Chairperson, CPWB, Punjab celebrated Independence Day with missionary zeal and zest. Mrs. Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar(Governor Punjab) was the Chief Guest of the occasion.
The event started off with an "Azadi Walk" in which children marched past with National Flag of Pakistan followed by flag hoisting ceremony. During the ceremony, children produced performances and delivered speeches showing solidarity with people of Indian Occupied Kashmir.
The Chief Guest, Mrs. Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar(Governor Punjab) appreciated efforts of Sarah Ahmad, Chairperson CPWB, Punjab for provision of better facilities to residing children of the Bureau. The Chief Guest also promised full support and cooperation of Governor's Office for betterment of children of the Bureau.
Sarah Ahmad, Chairperson concluded the ceremony by cake cutting to rejoice 72nd Independence Day of Pakistan with Chief Guest and children of the Bureau. Sarah Ahmad, Chairperson also appealed to the United Nations to protect the rights of children of Indian Occupied Kashmir as children of IOK are suffering cruelty of war imposed by India. Sarah Ahmad also thanked Mrs. Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar (Governor Punjab) by presenting her a souvenir.
